Between Choice and Force
Between choice and force
Waking in the dawn of yesterday,
The sunlight shone great,
The grasses looked grassy
Pasture was great
But the folk had to do:
Between choice and force.
He lived well when life was full of glad and gay
Lacking nothing, having everything.
The greens of green
Unwithered grasses and forest.
But they came,
They of the superstructure
Asking with compulsion
To choose between our worth and our waste.
Such was a straddle to dilly-dally
Upon a long wait
Was visited the canoe
Which cart the history of my journey
I am to reopen the gate
And pass Yonder
And return no more.
